Shark has just released their new range… and we are super excited by what Shark has been up to!
The obvious change is new graphics but let’s delve a little deeper.
Lighter Rider Touring Boards Made With 5″ Dropstitch Boards
Lighter rider touring board in 5″ thickness:- For 2022 there is some big names grabbing hold of this new lighter rider technology, which will offer all lighter riders in any budget access to this premium new technology. Riders can now choose from, Shark 12’6 x 30 x 5″ & 11’8 x 30 x 5, Red Paddle Co 12’ Voyager and Compact boards, the Starboard Takhine 12’6 as well as the 3 board choices in the Gladiator range’s – so all lighter riders are now being fully supported from a few premium brands on the market.
The Shark allround board range
The Shark Allround range offers customers a board shape for every height and weight of rider, The 10’2 is a fantastic board for the shorter lighter rider as its 30″ wide and 5″ thick, offering a straight down paddle stroke and a lower volume. The 10’6 is a great board for that caters for most family needs at 32″ wide and 5″ thick and the 10’8 offers 2 thicknesses 5″ & 6″ thick allowing riders to gain more stability from the 34″ width but still keep the 5″ thick volume if the rider is lighter and 6″ thick if the rider needs extra volume if they are heavier.
The Shark Touring Range
The Shark Touring range offers riders a board for longer day paddles. The Shark touring boards have been designed for every rider need from the new 5″ thick lighter rider touring boards to the standard touring boards that are 30″ and 32″ wide offering speed both as well as stability. Shark also offers the rider a 14′ performance race board has a reinforced nose offering riders a touring board that will also race.
The Shark Kids board Range
The Shark kids range of boards are specifically designed for younger riders, with a width designed for a shorter rider to gain a straight down paddle stroke and 5″ thick to allow for the right volume in the water. The Shark kids board comes in allround and touring shape allowing for progression into allround fun and SUP surfing or longer day paddles. The Kids boards are made out of the same high density double laminated materials that are 26 psi rated, this allows for a board that is stiff even under a120 kg’s of central weight offering aboard that is perfect for their needs NOW but a board that they will not grow out of in the future.
