Southampton Boat Show 2018

The Southampton Boat Show is a must for anybody who loves watersports. The Boat Show isn’t just about seeing how the hyper-rich spend their fortunes, but a varied and inclusive show with something for everybody. Paddleboarding has become hugely popular and there is much to see at the show for those into, or wanting to get into, padding.

The Southampton Boat Show 2018 runs from the 14th – 23rd September. Spanning two weekends, there is plenty of opportunity to make it to the show, and whilst buzzing with a great atmosphere the long show schedule means it’s not desperately over-crowded. SUP Inflatables is a regular at the show, exhibiting alongside Red Paddle Co. This year they will also be representing Anomy, Gladiator, Starboard, Fanatic, O’Neill and Naish, so there are plenty of SUPs to learn about and choose between.

What will be going on at the Red Paddle Co & SUP Inflatables stand?

The JUMP test and putting all the brands’ inflatable SUPs through their paces; whilst visitors look on the paddleboards will be placed between two trestles and the brave SUP Inflatables staff will be jumping on the boards to show stiffness and strength, key requirements in an inflatable as any bend means the board is hard to paddle though the water.

There will also be much to learn about, with the team spending time with visitors to explain what 4.75″ drop stitch means and why this is so important to an all round paddleboard. There will also be on-land demos, speaking with visitors about how to paddleboard, how to hold the paddle and how to get from the kneeling to standing position the first time you take to the water. This is the first opportunity to take a look at the revolutionary Red Paddle Co Compact SUP, which packs down super, super small! There will also be a wide range of Inflatable SUP packages available to purchase.

The Southampton Boat Show is a great event, so we hope to see you there!
