What’s new in the Gladiator range?
What’s new in the range? Gladiator has just released their new range… and at SUP inflatables we are super excited by what Gladiator has been up to!
The obvious change is new graphics but let’s delve a little deeper.
Lighter Rider Touring Boards Made With 4.7″ Dropstitch – Boards Starting From £449.00
Lighter rider touring board in 4.7″ thickness:- For 2022 Gladiator look like they have pulled magic out the hat! The 12’6 LT touring board is 4.7” thick, fully supporting the lighter rider with a less buoyant board. This board is in the Origin, Pro and Elite range, offering all budgets this lighter rider technology. For 2022 there is some big names grabbing hold of this new technology, which will offer all lighter riders in any budget access to this premium new technology. Riders can now choose from, The Red Paddle Co 12’ Voyager and Compact boards, The Starboard Takhine 12’6 and the Shark 12’6 x 5″ as well as the 3 board choices in the Gladiator range’s – so all lighter riders are now being fully supported from a few premium brands on the market.
The Gladiator Origin Range Boards – Starting From £349
Whats new within the Gladiator Origin range? One of the changes is the name of what was the ‘light’ which has now changed to ‘Origin’, This board changed to fusion double laminated construction last year, so the name change was a great evolution of the brand!
This range also offers a fiberglass paddle and UV lined foiled premium bag as well as a premium leash and 3 years warranty.
What’s New Within The PRO Range – Boards Starting From £499
What’s new within the Gladiator Pro range? We are loving the new graphics on all the 3 ranges and feel spoilt for choice! We especially love the new asymmetric cargo straps, not only are they a bit funky but they definitely have a big impact on holding kit, The front straps allow different bits of kit to be held down separately and securely. The back 2 straps on the touring boards are well-positioned to hold small right up to massive bags and the central handle is super well balanced so carrying the board is really easy. The Fin for 2022 is now logo’ed hard plastic, we did love the old Flexi fin and this is still purchasable separately but loading kit in hotter weather will be easier with this new solid fin! We think we have fallen in love with the new double cushioned making paddling barefoot even more comfortable for longer journeys.
All the accessories have been colour-coded to match each range which looks very pretty! The Gladiator wheeled bag has had a big makeover, oversized rectangular in shape to make packing away even easier, 3-way velcro pocket design to easily tuck rucksack straps away, and UV foil-lined to protect your board, the leash is still super-premium with nonstick velcro and the paddle is carbon nylon and matches your board package.
Whats New Within The Elite Range – Boards From £599
Whats new within the Gladiator Elite range? We love the sleek lines and look of this new Elite board, The colours really come to life on the water! The cargo straps are a winner, made out of flat elastic and the asymmetric design holds kit really well. The board is still made from Double Laminated Weave material and as always we just love how light this board is, the shorter lighter rider is going to love the combo of the 4.7 dropstitch that the new 12’6 LT offers with a board that is super light to carry. The honeycomb fin looks incredible and for those that are timing their paddles, the fin will help knock those all important seconds of any paddling race.

Part of what makes Gladiator premium in construction and affordable is that Gladiator owns its own factory, keeps staff retention, and comes from a family-run background of manufacturing inflatable Ribs, Gladiator knew everything about Dropstitch and glueing it together well before paddleboards were invented and so had a head start on premium technology… Find out more about Gladiators story here…
